During an EVO 2012 Q&A panel, a Smash Bros. fan asked why PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale is a Smash Bros. rip-off. All-Stars’ director Omar Kendall responded and admitted that while the game “borrows” from Smash Bros., it’s not trying to copy Nintendo’s brawler.
